The Illinois State Bowfishers is a non-profit organization, dedicated to the representation of the sport of bowfishing and those who participate in a legal, responsible and ethical manner. We are working to promote and protect Bowfishing throughout the state of Illinois. We promote the fraternal enjoyment of our sport by sponsoring fun shoots or tournaments across Illinois.

The ISB promotes bowfishing as a management tool to control invasive species of fish. We encourage the responsible use and or disposal of all fish taken. As a group we will work with the DNR and lawmakers to promote policies and legislation beneficial to the environment and bowfishing.

This site is for the benefit and enjoyment of everyone, from those who have never fished with a bow and arrow, to the truly "die hard" bowfishers. It is a place to come together and share information, ideas and stories. A place to meet up with old friends and make new ones....
